January 22, 2026

According to a statement from the Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, drone delivery will cover 30% of the city's territory by 2026, and by 2031, the service area will expand to 70%.

The initiative is part of the government's strategy to develop smart and sustainable urban infrastructure, where unmanned aerial vehicle technologies will significantly reduce delivery times and increase the efficiency of logistics processes.

The project is aimed at supporting e-commerce, medicine, transport, and the service sector, as well as reducing the carbon footprint through the use of eco-friendly technologies.

Dubai is already actively cooperating with private and government companies to create specialized air corridors, logistics hubs, and drone air traffic management systems.

Thanks to these steps, the city strengthens its status as a global center for innovation, demonstrating how modern solutions can improve the quality of life and optimize business processes of the future.
